Before Fell & Fold, Stew was a hairdresser and Dan was a Civil Servant — not the usual combo for opening a shop, but it seems to have worked out alright.
We heard the space was coming up and decided to go for it. We knew Bowness had a gap for something warm, modern and a bit different, so that’s what we set out to create. The plan was clear, the brews were constant, and everything else developed naturally as we went along.
Fell & Fold is the result of a good idea, a steady kettle, and two people ready for something new.
Our Mission
Fell & Fold was born from a love of the Lakes and Scandi style— its quiet moments, its wild edges, and the way life here encourages a slower pace.
We wanted to create a space that reflects Scandi calm with a Lake District soul.
We believe in thoughtful design, natural materials, and creating a space that feels modern yet rooted in the landscape around us.
